The RU 19A-300 provides:
- Additional thrust for takeoff and climb
- Additional thrust during engine failure AI-24
- Starting the engines AI-24 on the electrical system
- Supply the electrical system in the state with no working engines AI-24
- Supply of the electrical system in the air in case of failure of the generators STG-18

Luftschraube AW-72T

Die Luftschraube ist fest mit dem Einwellen-PTL über das Untersetzungsgetriebe verbunden. Bei Ausfall eines PTL nimmt die entsprechende Luftschraube automatisch Segelstellung ein. Die Landestrecke wird durch eine relative Schubumkehr der Luftschrauben während des Ausrollens verkürzt.

Ein rückwärtiges Rollen war nicht möglich!
